According to different grinding mode, there are two kinds of dry self-grinder and wet self-grinder. They also can be called aerofall self-grinder and falling self-grinder.

Performance Characteristics:

The rude ore comes from the slope or the minerals through coarse crushing are directly put into the grinder. Generally the minerals are put into the grinder to rod crush according to certain grain gradation. The materials can be crushed to be -0.074mm by the self-grinder for one time; and its content is more than 20% to 50% of the total. The crushing rate can reach to 4000 to 5000 which is more than ten times higher than the ball crusher and rod mill. The self-grinder is a new kind of grinding equipment which can crush and grind. Using the grinded materials as medium, it grinds through two-way pounding and grinding; so it gets its name. The self-grinder is also called non-medium grinder.
